Loveland golf looking to go beyond second place (Community Press & Recorder)
LOVELAND — Second place has become familiar to the Loveland boys golf team. In 2006 the Tigers finished second in the Fort Ancient Valley Conference Buckeye Division for the third straight season.

Although they finished second in the sectional tournament, sixth in the district tournament and had one golfer finish in the top five in the state, Ursuline head golf coach Marianne Utz-Sahms says the Lions had an off year. Considering that the Lions have qualified for the state tournament 10 times in the last 13 years that assessment isn’t so far fetched.

As usual, the expectations for the Moeller golf team are high entering the 2006 season. Coming off of a fourth-place finish at the state make those expectations a little bit higher.
