Sunday golf gets cheaper in city with many Mormons (Provo Daily Herald)
PROVO — The city-owned pool is closed on Sunday. But golf is allowed — and it’s even getting cheaper. The Sunday rate for 18 holes is dropping to $20 from $24, while the price on other days is going up at The Reserve at East Bay. “It used to be one of the course’s better days and now it isn’t,” said George Stewart, City Council chairman.
Golf pro dies in crash (Lake County News Sun)
The 64-year-old golf pro from Old Elm Club Country Club in Highland Park died Sunday after his vehicle went out of control and hit a pickup truck. Donald Drasler of Gurnee was southbound on Hunt Club Road around 11 a.m. and died instantly after his gold Honda Accord slid across the center line because of slick road conditions.
